Teen Star HairstylesCute Hairstyles for Teen Girls

Debby Ryan (16) with big long curls and full fringe. Debby has a cool mixture of thin and thick piecey parts. This is what extreme big, bouncy curls are all about. It may seem over the top or cute and fun depending on your point of view. (October 4, 2009)
Vanessa Lengies (19) has pretty long hair with thin blonde highlights. This is a perfect hairstyle for older teens although it's a little frizzy on top in this picture. The basic structure is very flattering for her head shape and neck length.
Zena Grey (18) has gorgeous red hair. Her easy teen hairstyle has some layers. Look for this pretty redhead in 2010. She'll be back in the Hollywood spotlight starring as Penelope in My Soul to Take.
Miley Cyrus (16) with very long wavy hairstyle for teens. The teen star has lots of dark golden blonde highlights in her thick hair. Cute bangs! This high-quality closeup photo was in 2009 at her global movie premiere (Hannah Montana) in Hollywood, California.
Andrea Bowen (16) at the Teen Vogue Young Hollywood Party. This is a wonderful medium teen hairstyle just past the shoulders. It looks cute, soft, and sexy. The golden blonde haircolor is a new change for the actress whose natural color is brown. It's a fairly easy style for school or every day, and doesn't require a lot of time, but it's also good enough for prom or an evening event like when Andrea wore it.
Selena Gomez (15) has a long layered teen haircut. Her razored layers start a few inches above chin level and continue just about all the way down to the ends. It's simple but popular, and one of the classic long teen hairstyles.
Brenda Song (17) tried something different. She has a really big medium teen hairstyle that is styled in 1970s or 1980s fashion with extra curling across her fringe. It is a super thick hairdo and rather dramatic. It gets even more punch from the golden brown highlights in her very dark hair. Her tresses are fine but the styling is a bit off the wall. Mega black necklace plus pea green mini top that looks like a tablecloth plus white summer dress that seems to contain part of her lunch. Yikes!
Ashley Tisdale (18) wearing a long teen hairstyle with angled bangs. This was a few years ago but her waves still look hot today. Her color is closer to her natural color but somewhat lighter brown.
Hayden Panettiere (17) went to a movie premiere with this casually chic hairstyle. It's a good enough style for day or night especially if you don't have much time to get ready when you're going out. It's not dramatic or flashy. It's very traditional for American teens and its distinctive feature is very sharply angled bangs and (probably) hair extensions. If you look closely at the ends it seems as if Hayden has enhancements for extra length and/or volume.
Savannah Outen (17) has lots of thin strands of hair separated to add volume and texture. She's put a modern twist on a classic wavy hair design. It is similar to Ashley Tisdale's hair (above), but it looks more dramatic with blonde hair and when the pieces stand out this way.
Blake Lively (21) has a gorgeous layered haircut that many teen girls will like. The color is hot, too. Not much wrong with this hair style, is there!? Simplicity equals fabulous. Once your hairdresser has made the cut, you should be able to recreate this every day in under ten minutes. After the blowout, you're mainly just working the hold on one side.
Shelley Buckner (15) keeps it simple wearing her locks down. When your hair is this healthy and shiny, doing nothing extra may be the best way to show it off. Shelley looks like a sweet girl and this natural choice with long fringe fits her age perfectly. The reddish blonde haircolor is wonderful!
Lindsey Shaw (17) is all smiles with hot hair. Like the subtle highlights. The modestly wavy texture is also very flattering. So much teen hair this nice could make you jealous; it grows on you as you look at it. That is one of the hallmarks of understated elegance.
Shawn Johnson (17) in 2009 looks radiant as ever. She has a cool teen hairstyle. It is modern, layered, flippy, and highlighted. But it also looks a bit like a shag. In any case, it's a step up from the previous haircut of the Dancing With the Stars champion. With just part of her fringe back in place there's a lot to like here. Do you think this cut makes her look a little older?
Leighton Meester (17) shows you an elegant way to style your hair. The teen star has regular straight hair but also mini braids at the front on both sides to frame her face where you often see highlights. Although it is a rare style, it is cute. Try it sometime if it suits your personality or mood. |
2010 Hairstyles for TeensA new year this year starts a new decade. 2010 is finally here and with it comes the sense that new things await us in life as well as the world of fashion and beauty. Do you want something new? 2010 Hairstyles has lots of pictures of the latest 2010 hairstyles for teens and young women in their 20s. At the time of writing it is still being updated within days of the stars being photographed. Most teen girls are keen to track and pick the very latest looks. One poll on that site shows nearly 60% of visitors think it is extremely important to have a fashionable hairstyle. (They voted 10 on a scale of one to 10.) Need a good resource if you're planning on getting a more complete makeover, i.e., getting a new haircut and new clothes? Teen Vogue is the fashion magazine for teens that follows in the historic path of its iconic big sister publication Vogue magazine. It can give you ideas for clothes and sometimes hairstyles too. Another teen magazine for girls is Cosmo Girl. Besides being a print magazine it has a website which includes a teen beauty blog with reviews of hair, makeup, and skin care. It also has an advice board if you want to jump in and get help (or share your own opinions to help others). Prom planning is a popular time to think about beauty. Prom Hair Styles lets you review and pick a cute new hair style for 2010. Find yourself a fun updo like one the teen stars wear; or try a sweet down hair style; or something romantic that's partly up and partly down. The pictures are nearly all teens only, so by choosing one you know you'll look age appropriate. If you prefer to find your style the old-fashioned way, like in a print magazine, there are a few prom magazines now on newsstands in America and Canada. These are special annual issues from the popular teen magazines. One is Teen Prom 2010; another is Seventeen Prom. You'd think there might actually be some books full of prom hairstyling ideas, but only about one that was ever published, and its styles are now out of date. |
